Fail Fast

In this monologue, TOBEY talks to his friend about how he needs to not be afraid of failure in order to run a stable life.

TOBEY:  Sometimes you have to go a long way out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly.  That’s what you did.  You have to test and try and fail and experiment and fail again as fast as possible so you learn from the experience and gain knowledge.  Our culture has a tendency to avoid failure.  We are raised to not fail.  I believe that this way of thinking is beginning to change.  I encourage you to fail because through failure comes success.  You do great work and now you are taking these latest lessons and throwing yourself back in the game.  Each time you take a step forward, even if the result doesn’t produce what you wanted…the overall vision of things is bringing you closer.
