Going Away

In this dramatic male teen monologue, DELL talks to his friend about the issues he has going away on spring break.

DELL:  Truth is…it’s me.  Seriously, look, I never been away, outside of the country before and it’s not that I don’t want to go with you guys, cause I do.  No joke, I do.  It sounds messed up and I know you guys keep calling me a bitch and stuff but honestly…after my dad died, I find it hard leaving my mother cause I’m all she’s got and you know she worries too much all the time.  It’s not really a question of the money cause I can scrape up enough luciano (money) to go, it’s just that my mom is giving me anxiety about going.  She guilting me dog.  So, I’m just trying to get things straight on my end if I was to go and I’m telling you all this cause I want you to know the deal and I want you to stop kidding me about it.  I know you are just playing but still, it makes me feel real bad about how things are at home for me.
