Sneak A Peek

Sneak A Peek is a dramatic monologue about a MOTHER who talks to her teen daughter about staying away from phone usage while driving.

MOTHER: Kimberly, you need to understand something right now, I was just watching the news and saw the most horrifying thing on tv…a mother was driving along with her two kids when she received a text. She looked down for only a split second, just to take a peek and that was all it took. Her car collided with an oncoming van…I’m telling you this not to scare you but to promise you something…I admit, I’ve checked my phone while driving numerous amounts of times, even with you in the car with me and I’m so sorry for taking those risks. After watching the news, I’m all nervous inside…I promise you, I will never ever again touch my phone while driving. I want you to know this and I want you to promise me the same thing when you’re out there on the road as well. Can you please promise me you won’t ever touch your phone while driving?
