The Art of the Play

In this monologue, MR. HILSMAN talks to his upper management team about hiring a man for his company.

MR. HILSMAN:  That guy was the greatest bullshit artist I have ever seen enter this room.  I mean, did you see how fluid he was?  He was in the zone!  Whatever came out of his mouth was pure effortless bullshit.  It was magic!  Leonard, I bet he could have convinced you to drop your pants and run around the room like a turkey.  That’s how suave he was.  I want him!  He’s great for the company.  A man that has that level of bullshit power deserves to work in my firm.  He was uncanny!  When he went on about that story with helping the elderly woman rebuild her home after the tornado hit…we all know it was a complete load of shit, but the passion, the commitment, the emotional involvement he demonstrated, made me give myself completely over to believing him.  That my friends, THAT is how you manipulate these sons of bitches.  A guy like that on the team will do extremely well.  He’s a playmaker boys.  Get him!  Make him an offer!  Genius!
