There is a new photo app in town that goes by the name Prisma. Prisma allows you to take a photo and have it seamlessly converted into art work. You can use a filter from any one of their artist selections.
You can use photos that are already in your camera roll or take one. Once you have a photo taken or chosen, the filters come in names like Dreams, Mark, Robots, Tokyo, Urban, Electric, Curly Hair and others that represent famous artist styles of painting.
Once you add your selected filter, it will take a few seconds to create your art work by showing you a triangle image going from gray to filling up white, signifying the image has fully rendered complete.
If satisfied, you can share the image to your Instagram, Facebook or email. When sending it to Instagram, you can use the filters there also if you want to dress up your image further.
There will be a Prism logo in the bottom right corner of the image but if you wanted to email it to yourself, you can potentially crop the image to avoid seeing the logo if it bothers you.
The app can become addicting and it does offer some neat creative ideas that stimulate your imagination.
Prisma is a very easy app to learn and the learning curve doesn’t get any easier than taking a photo and choosing a filter.
On the backend of the app, Prisma uses neural networks and artificial intelligence which turn your photos into such art masterpieces.
Definitely worth checking out. Prisma Labs has noted that by the end of the month the app will be available for download on Android.
Prisma is also going to be releasing video filtered features as well. Here’s a sneak peek of one below.
